IBOA wins recognition battle

The Irish Bank Officials Association (IBOA) has won a battle with Royal Bank of Scotland over trade union recognition at an RBS office in Dublin.

The Irish Bank Officials Association (IBOA) has won a battle with Royal Bank of Scotland over trade union recognition at an RBS office in Dublin.

The dispute related to RBS’s technology services unit at Parkgate Street, where 185 staff are based. The unit employs computer programmers and IT project managers, and is aligned with the RBS group rather than its Ulster Bank subsidiary.
