IBEC officials representing the Vita Cortex owners are understood to have made an offer to workers to pay out less than half the redundancy payments they say they are owed.

SIPTU rejected the offer and said "nothing less than the agreed outstanding redundancy amount of 0.9 weeks per year of service for those involved in the sit-in at the plant would be acceptable if the dispute is to be resolved."
