Employers’ group Ibec has raised its growth outlook for the year to 6.1 per cent, a significant increase from its previous forecast of 3.1 per cent.
Ibec said the upgrade was made on the back of “remarkably positive trends” across the entire economy and that the "spectacular" growth would make Ireland the fastest growing economy in Europe this year, paving the way for income tax cuts in next week’s budget.
