IBEC concerned at university rankings

It is worrying that no Irish university was in the top 50 and only one made it into the top 100, says IBEC

The employers' group IBEC has expressed concern at the latest world rankings of universities which showed most Irish third-level organisations losing ground.

"It is worrying that no Irish university was in the top 50 and only one made it into the top 100," IBEC said. "Three years ago, there were two Irish institutions in the top 100, with one in the top 50."
