IBEC has called for reform of pensions policy and warned that new defined benefit pension rules could leave many workers facing reduced benefits.

The employers lobby group is seeking a range of reforms including changes to how benefits are allocated when a scheme is wound up and an overhaul of the funding standard that existing pension funds have to meet.
