UPDATE: Three Ireland's owner Hutchison Whampoa has made a revised takeover offer for Eircom that drops all conditions, according to a report on Bloomberg News.

Three Ireland's owner Hutchison Whampoa has made a revised takeover offer for Eircom that drops all conditions, according to a report on Bloomberg News.

The report said the $2.6 billion offer was still subject to due diligence. It did not specify when it had been made.

The story could not be confirmed locally. Eircom's examiner, Grant Thornton's Michael McAteer, declined to comment. Eircom said it was the business of the examiner to assess any offers.
