Hungary for romance
A trip to Budapest offers a chance to be bewitched by a rich and vibrant city, writes Kim Haughton.
Within minutes of arriving in this foggy city, I see a couple kissing on the riverbank. The sky is white and the scene is monotone; it's like stepping inside a Robert Doisneau photograph from the 1950s. It's little wonder that Budapest is known as the Paris of the east.
As I make my way past the couple towards the Christmas markets at Vörösmarty Square, I feel the first flushes of a warm and fuzzy Yuletide...
