Huhne sentenced to eight months in jail

Former British energy secretary Chris Huhne has been sentenced to eight months in jail for his part in covering up a 2003 speeding offence.

Former British energy secretary Chris Huhne has been sentenced to eight months in jail for his part in covering up a 2003 speeding offence.

Vicky Pryce, Huhne’s ex-wife, was also given an eight-month term. Judge Nigel Sweeney called Liberal Democrat Huhne the “more culpable of the two,” while giving him a month reduction in his sentence for pleading guilty.
