The number of houses in Dublin that sell at auction for more than €1 million soared during the first half of this year, according to new research.

An analysis of auction sales by Sherry FitzGerald Research shows that 223 properties in the city have been sold at auction for over €1 million this year, an increase of 75 per cent on the number of houses sold for such prices during the same period last year.
