HSE receives 50 tenders for development of private hospitals

The Health Service Executive (HSE) has received more than 50 expressions of interest from firms wanting to develop private hospitals on public hospital grounds.

The Health Service Executive (HSE) has received more than 50 expressions of interest from firms wanting to develop private hospitals on public hospital grounds.

Irish healthcare firms, including the Beacon Medical Group, Eurocare International, Quality Healthcare, Bon Secours Healthcare Group, Harlequin Healthcare and the Mater Private, sent submissions.

International players including BMI Healthcare, one of Britain’s largest private hospital organisations, had also sent submissions when the HSE opened initial bids on Friday.
