A number of high-profile firms of solicitors have been paid many millions of euro in legal fees by the HSE since the start of 2010.
The latest figures for the HSE show that Byrne Wallace was the highest earning solicitors' firm, being paid €11.5 million by the health agency in the 12 months of 2010.
