The government is seeking about 2,000 voluntary redundancies from the Department of Agriculture and specific parts of the health and education sectors.
The government is seeking about 2,000 voluntary redundancies from the Department of Agriculture and specific parts of the health and education Sectors, public expenditure minister Brendan Howlin has said.
The redundancies are expected to come mainly from back office and support areas and management and administrative grades, he said. He said that the availability of voluntary redundancy in these areas will support the achievement of organisational reforms and restructuring.
