How to declare SSIA money if you are abroad

I have been saving the maximum amount (€254 monthly) to my Special Savings Incentive Account (SSIA) since I opened it in September 2001. Dilemma:

I am going to be out of the country for extended travelling this year and so won’t be able to sign the declaration form and send it back to the bank for the required time.

Are there any options for me or am I to lose all the government money?...
