Revenue expects taxpayers and businesses to organise their financial affairs to ensure that they pay their tax on time. If a taxpayer or business does not pay on time or – when particular difficulties arise with the payment of tax – does not engage properly with Revenue, then Revenue will take steps to recover the debt.
