More than one-third of men who are married or living with partners describe themselves as the "sole decision-maker" when it comes to purchases, according to new research by Carat Ireland.
In a survey into the purchasing habits of couples (for utilities, insurance, banking, motors and home improvement), 34 per cent of male respondents defined themselves as the chief decision-maker; and 25 per cent of females claimed they were the ones making the calls.
