Houses of Oireachtas will pay €333,412 to Revenue

The Houses of the Oireachtas has agreed a settlement with the Office of the Revenue Commissioners for a sum of €333,412.

The Houses of the Oireachtas has agreed a settlement with the Office of the Revenue Commissioners for a sum of €333,412.

According to the Revenue’s quarterly list of defaulters, which was published today, the settlement relates to an under-declaration of Pay Related Social Insurance (PRSI) and Pay As You Earn (PAYE) taxes regarding payments to Leinster House staff.

The outstanding amount of tax was €227,910, with an interest of €37,128 and a penalty...
