Household debt declined further during the first quarter of 2013, falling by €1.6bn — almost one per cent, according to quarterly financial accounts released today by the Central Bank.

Household debt declined further during the first quarter of 2013, falling by €1.6bn — almost one per cent, according to quarterly financial accounts released today by the Central Bank.

Debt as a proportion of disposable income fell by just 0.1 per cent, as the decline in debt was partly outstripped by a decrease in disposable income.
