House of the week: Home perfected in labour of love

The tranquillity of Balally Drive belies that fact that it’s parallel to Sandyford Road – one of the main arteries linking Dundrum and Sandyford villages – and is within a five-minute walk of Dundrum Town Centre and the nearest Luas stations.

At the Dundrum end of the road is No 25, a 1960s-built dormer-style, semi-detached home in turn-key condition, which is on the market with JLL at €775,000.

The limed oak flooring runs throughout the living areas of the ground floor and complement the custom-made solid oak staircase that leads up to a converted attic. This flexible space is currently used as a child’s bedroom and has a fully fitted and spacious en suite shower room.

Downstairs, the concertina doors, when fully retracted, open the living space to a covered sandstone patio/BBQ area set within the well-manicured, private sunny garden.

The garden features synthetic grass lawns installed by Contour Greens surrounded by well-stocked raised flowerbeds and a water feature. There is also access to a storage shed concealed behind the garage doors at the front.
