Hot weather reignites watering debate
An abundance of vegetables are coming on at this time of year, but they need tender loving care, writes Dermot Carey.
Harry's walled garden was sweltering with the rest of the country last week. This is a busy time of the year for harvesting, and the warm weather has brought lots of crops on at once. The heat and dryness is a double-edge sword, and can cause some crops, such as turnips, to get stressed and bolt.
