The Dutch owned lender ACC has seized control of the Horgan Pharmacy Group, a Cork-based chain of ten pharmacies.

The bank installed receivers over the chain late last week in an effort to shore up debts of between €12 million and €15 million.

The chain remains open, and is being operated under the instruction of the joint receivers, KPMG accountants Kieran Wallace and David Swinburne.
