Honda has announced new technology for the next generation of its 2.2-litre diesel engine, which will make it as clean as a petrol unit as regards NOx emissions.
Honda has announced new technology for the next generation of its 2.2-litre diesel engine, which will make it as clean as a petrol unit as regards NOx emissions. This is critical for diesels, far less polluting in other emissions, are to reach US emissions standards.
Key to the breakthrough is a new type of catalytic converter capable of converting NOx into harmless nitrogen.
The new engine will go on sale in three years time.
