Ireland has come a long way in the drive to reduce, reuse and recycle.

In less than ten years, recycling practices have led to a 26 per cent drop in the proportion of waste being sent to landfill, according to figures from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The recycling organisation Repak says that almost half a million tonnes of used packaging were recycled in Ireland last year - that's 47 per cent of all packaging waste.
