Home heating oil costs vary widely, survey says

The cost of supply and delivery of home heating oil can vary locally by as much as €80 per 1,000 litres, a new survey by the National Consumer Agency has found.

The cost of supply and delivery of home heating oil can vary locally by as much as €80 per 1,000 litres, a new survey by the National Consumer Agency has found.

The average price nationwide was €964 for 1,000 litres of heating oil; the highest recorded was €995 in East Galway, while the cheapest quote received was in Dundalk, Co. Louth, at €910.

The average price has increased by 18% since the NCA’s last survey in September...
