In an effort to keep seasonal sickness at bay, I've taken to eating as many fresh vegetables as possible. Of course, all of those vitamins and antioxidants are even more potent when the vegetables are raw. But this cold weather doesn't always make cold food so palatable - by nature we're driven to crave the warmth and comfort of carbohydrates - so I'm disguising it at the dinner table with some baked and roasted elements.
