I have discovered that I am something of a magpie when it comes to attractive food packaging, especially old-fashioned tins.

I have discovered that I am something of a magpie when it comes to attractive food packaging, especially old-fashioned tins. Colourful tins of anchovies and sardines are stacked haphazardly in my cupboard.

Baking powder tins are another favourite and I often see them used as sugar or teaspoon holders in cafés and restaurants, proving that there are others out there who cannot face placing such pretty tins in the recycling bin.
