I have discovered that I am something of a magpie when it comes to attractive food packaging, especially old-fashioned tins. Colourful tins of anchovies and sardines are stacked haphazardly in my cupboard.
Baking powder tins are another favourite and I often see them used as sugar or teaspoon holders in cafÃ©s and restaurants, proving that there are others out there who cannot face placing such pretty tins in the recycling bin.
