Hobbs criticised by RTE Authority member

A member of the RTE Authority has written to RTE management to complain about Rip Off Republic, the consumer advocacy television programme fronted by Eddie Hobbs.

A member of the RTE Authority has written to RTE management to complain about Rip Off Republic, the consumer advocacy television programme fronted by Eddie Hobbs. The programme, which first aired last Monday, was highly critical of the government. Stephen O'Byrnes, a former general secretary of the Progressive Democrats (PDs) who was recently reappointed to the RTE Authority by the government, wrote to RTE complaining about the programme.
