Music retailer HMV has sold the legendary London music venue, the Hammersmith Apollo, for stg£32 million (€40 million).
The buyer is Stage C, a firm jointly owned by Ansco Music and a subsidiary of CTS Eventim, a ticketing services provider, of Germany.
The venue, which opened in 1932 as the Gaumont Palace cinema, made a profit before tax of £1.9 million in the nine months to April 30th.
