The fallout from the recent collapse of HMV is being felt across an already struggling Irish music industry.

Last month, 16 HMV stores across the county closed with the loss of 300 jobs.

Record labels, which were burned for their Christmas stock, are now suffering from a reduced high-street presence for their artists and a lack of shops in which to stock their albums.
