Ulster Bank has reported that demand for its children’s savings accounts has trebled since it brought back its old 1980s mascot, Henri Hippo.
The bank invested €500,000 in relaunching Henri, spread between print advertising, outdoor ads, public relations and an initial distribution of 13,000 Henri piggy banks.
