The results at last week's sale of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia at Julian's Auctions in Los Angeles augur well for the forthcoming Marlon Brando sale in New York. The Monroe sale consisted of lots withdrawn from an earlier Christie's sale because they were considered too personal.

They ranged from items of underwear, fishnet stockings, suspender belts and bras (which fetched $3,000 to $6,000 against estimates of $200 to $300) to a dog licence for her bassett...
