Media buyers have welcomed plans by Associated Newspapers to launch a new Metro freesheet in Dublin within weeks.

Associated Newspapers already publishes Metro in a number of British cities and there has been ongoing speculation that it would do something similar in the Irish market. Sources now say that it plans to launch in the Irish market in the next six to eight weeks, though Associated has not confirmed this. The Irish Times printing press...
