Latest figures from Dublin’s rival free newspapers, Herald AM and Metro, show a 23 per cent slide in Herald AM’s circulation in the month of July.

Media buyers believe that the drop is due to a decision by Herald AM to reduce its print run and distribution points for the summer months - anticipating lower demand - and are expecting a return to more normal levels in September.
