Heatons in competition dispute with part-owner Mike Ashley

Irish retail chain Heatons is embroiled in a competition case with its part-owner, English retail tycoon Mike Ashley.

Newcastle Utd owner Mike Ashley has a 50 per cent stake in Heatons.

Irish retail chain Heatons is embroiled in a competition case with its part-owner, English retail tycoon Mike Ashley.

Sportsdirect.com Retail, a British company controlled by Ashley, has initiated a High Court case against Heatons, which has 81 department stores across Ireland.

The matter has been transferred to the competition court, a specialist division in the High Court that manages competition disputes.
