HeartSine Technologies, a Belfast company that makes portable defibrillators to treat heart attacks, is about to close a stg£4.5 million (€6.55 million) funding round from venture capital investors.
Drew Hofmann, the chief executive of HeartSine, said the company was in the final stages of raising the funding from ACT Venture Capital, Crescent Capital, and a US venture firm. ACT is investing stg£1.7 million in the round, while Crescent is committing stg£500,000.
