Healy: RTE demands ‘a bridge too far’

RTE’s independent industrial relations facilitator, Sean Healy, has told unions at the broadcaster that he is ‘‘seriously considering his future involvement’’ in a process aimed at resolving an ongoing row over pensions.

In a letter to the RTE Trade Union Group (TUG), he said its demands for proposed caps in a new pension scheme - where a portion of salary is guaranteed - was ‘‘a bridge too far’’....
