Instead of letting the children fill up on sweets over the October bank holiday weekend, enrol them in Hallowe’en Cookery for Kids at Ballyknocken Cookery School.

‘‘Get the kids involved and they are more likely to eat some real food before digging into the gut-rotting, tooth-gnashing, coloured sweets collected,’’ says Catherine Fulvio, the school’s owner.

The afternoon course takes place on October 25 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm...
