Recommendations around the reduction of the long-term cost of pharmaceutical drugs, and increasing the use of generic drugs in Ireland, dominated the Joint Committee on Health and Children’s Report on the Cost of Prescription Drugs in Ireland.
The publication of the report is timely, as the 2012 – 2015 agreement between the HSE and pharmaceutical companies is due for renewal.
