Havok technology helps Poseidon get Oscar nomination
Dublin software firm Havok provided the technology behind disaster movie Poseidon, which has been nominated for an Oscar for special effects.
The Motion Picture Company used Havok’s software to make crowd scenes and fire and water simulations in Poseidon more realistic. It has been nominated for an Academy Award for visual effects in the film, which is based on the sinking of a cruise liner.
