Haute boudoir

Cork businesswoman Beth Haughton has come up with a novel idea to lure customers into her boutique: locating it in a sumptuous boudoir in a hotel.

‘Room 385, please: the Boudoir.‘ Upon entering the Lord Monck suite in the Merrion Hotel, guests are offered a glass of champagne or a vodka cocktail.

Dishes are piled high with colourfullywrapped chocolates, and a charming gentleman is on hand to relieve guests of their coats.
