Since childhood, Dublin milliner Catherine Cooke has been interested in making hats, creating her own designs for fancy dress parties and other occasions.

‘‘Although I studied psychology in college, my passion was always for fashion, and especially hats,” Cooke said.

‘‘While working in Belgium, I was introduced to Elvis Pompilio, a Belgian milliner. He needed an extra pair of hands for a new collection and ended up offering me an apprenticeship.”...
