Harlequin gives €43m upgrade to hospitals in Sligo and Kilkenny

Private hospital operator Harlequin Healthcare is spending more than €43 million on upgrading its hospitals in Sligo and Kilkenny.

The company owns and manages St Joseph’s Hospital in Sligo and Aut Even Hospital in Kilkenny, which have 140 beds and 250 employees between them. Joe Kelly, the chief executive of Harlequin, said the company was spending €25 million on refurbishing St Joseph’s and e 18 million on Aut Even.
