Hardware firm makes pre-tax profit of €1m
The company behind the Homevalue Hardware chain of DIY shops made a pre-tax profit of €1 million in 2005 as sales rose to €168.8 million.
Associated Hardware, which is based in Citywest in Dublin, acts as a buying group for more than 60 independent retailers that use the Homevalue Hardware brand. Its sales have been increasing steadily in recent years, rising from €120.8 million in 2003 and €152.2 million in 2004.
The company’s profits have also been increasing, and it had an accumulated profit of €6.1 million at the end of 2005.
