The Revenue Commissioners have invested in hard hats, bright yellow safety jackets and steel-cap boots so that its officials can make unannounced visits on construction sites throughout the country.

The Revenue Commissioners have invested in hard hats, bright yellow safety jackets and steel-cap boots so that its officials can make unannounced visits on construction sites throughout the country.

The moves form part of the Revenue’s crackdown on the construction sector. Revenue inspectors have been given detailed safety briefings so they know how to protect themselves on building sites. The briefings have taken place in the past few months.
