Hall to appeal High Court dismissal of promissory note case

UPDATE: The High Court has dismissed a case taken against the state’s bailout of former Anglo Irish Bank and Irish Nationwide Building Society.

High Court president Mr Justice Nicholas Kearns dismissed the case this morning.

Businessman David Hall said he will appeal a court dismissal of his challenge to the legitimacy of the state’s bailout of former Anglo Irish Bank and Irish Nationwide Building Society.

The High Court this morning dismissed a case taken against the bailout. But Hall will lodge an appeal with the Supreme Court against the ruling, according to a text message to Bloomberg, confirming a comment from his Twitter account.
