Hall awarded two days' costs in promissory note challenge

David Hall, who had challenged the legality of the government's issuance of promissory notes for the former Anglo Irish Bank, has been awarded partial costs.

David Hall, who had challenged the legality of the government's issuance of promissory notes for the former Anglo Irish Bank, has been awarded partial costs.

Hall's challenge was dismissed yesterday in the High Court.

However, Judge Nicholas Kearns said that the issue had been of public importance.
