Guinness splashes out on celebrations

More than 2,000 events will take place in bars and venues across the world on Thursday to mark the 250th anniversary of Arthur Guinness signing his 9,000-year lease on the St James’s Gate brewery in Dublin.

More than 2,000 events will take place in bars and venues across the world on Thursday to mark the 250th anniversary of Arthur Guinness signing his 9,000-year lease on the St James’s Gate brewery in Dublin.

Dublin will play host to 62 acts in more than 30 venues, including Razorlight, Kasabian, Estelle and Tom Jones, while the Black Eyed Peas will perform in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Sean Paul in Lagos, Nigeria.
