The Green Party leadership is to insist on a day-to-day oversight role for the Oireachtas on the financial dealings of the National Asset Management Agency( Nama) which will acquire €54 billion in distressed loans from the banks.

Minister Eamon Ryan told this newspaper that the party had concerns over ‘‘transparency and governance’’ in relation to Nama and believed that the financial dealings of the agency should be open to scrutiny by the Oireachtas....
