Sandwich maker Greencore has struck a deal with British pharmacy and cosmetics chain Superdrug to stock its stores with pre-packed sandwiches and chilled foods.

Chief executive Patrick Coveney, who reported strong first half operating profits of €26 million last week, said Greencore would begin supplying Superdrug, which has 900 stores in Britain later this summer.

The deal will add to Greencore’s portfolio of relationships with major British high street retailers.
