Green light for €50m redevelopment in Cork city

High-end shops to replace the iconic Patrick Street cinema

JCD Group is redeveloping the old Capitol Cinema and nearby sites on St Patrick’s Street and Grand Parade in Cork City

Planning permission has been granted by An Bord Pleanála to JCD Group for the €50 million redevelopment of the Capitol cinema and associated sites that fronts onto both St Patrick’s Street and the Grand Parade in Cork city centre. The project will consist of close to 9,300 square metres of high end retail space, energy-efficient office space and a “food innovation area”.
