Lucas Papademos, the new Greek prime minister, has won a confidence vote that gives him a mandate to push through austerity measures to keep Greece in the euro zone.
In the 300-strong chamber, 255 parliamentarians voted in his favour and 38 against, according to Bloomberg News.
Before the vote, Papademos addressed parliament to warn that Greece's problems would worsen if it exited the euro.
